CONGRATULATIONS Congratulations to Shayla Parsons for being accepted into the United States Air Force and West Point Summer Academies.  Both of these programs require high levels of success for acceptance. Shayla has been a student at BCA since its inception and has been exemplary in academics and leadership. She is involved in National Honor Society and Student Government as well as a leader of Boot Camp (elective class) in the past.  Congratulations to her grandparents and family members for their support in all her accomplishments.
Congratulations Congratulations to Kaleb Grine for being the recipient of North Central Electric Children of Consumers Scholarship.  Kaleb was awarded $1,500 towards his college education. There are many students (and parents) who have "Committed to Excellence" in all they have accomplished this past year.
Fourth Quarter and Conferences   It is hard to believe we are now in the 4th quarter of the 2011-12 school year!  Look to the mailing of report cards and conference schedules this week to find out if a certificate of honor is enclosed!  The BCA staff is very proud of the accomplishments of these students!

There is a change to the BCA calendar.   Monday, April 9, 2012 was scheduled as a normal school day after Spring Break from April 2nd through April 7th.  Due to the fact that several of the other schools (that bus to BCA) have no school on that day, BCA has changed Monday, April 9, 2012 to a WAH day for all students. Since this is the day after a holiday, we hope this will allow everyone a little extra time to get back to normal.  Don't forget that students are required to work FIVE (5) hours for their work at home day!  Thanks!
Heartfelt Condolences Let's keep all those who were involved in another school tragedy in our thoughts. We send our condolences to the families and staff of Chardon High School.   Please talk to your children about this horrible event so they are aware of how to prevent anything like this in their lifetime.
Health Update The Ohio Department of Health suggests we let you know that we are in the peak of the 2011-12 norovirus season. Please read the flyer below for more information.
Great Job BCA students! Maggie Pawsey represented the JOOI club at an Optimist Club dinner at Reino's on Tuesday evening.  She gave a wonderful presentation and was applauded and presented with an Optimist Pin from the National office. I was proud to witness this and want to congratulate her accomplishments with the BCA community.  Emily Mays represented BCA at a meeting with Industry and Education at Heidelberg University on Wednesday morning.  She shared her thoughts on the highschool visit to Webster Industies in the fall.  I was present and also want to compliment and acknowledge her leadership to the BCA community!
Congratulations to Travis Hickman.  He has been nominated as a BCA student at Sentinel to attend the Ohio ACTE Legislative Luncheon on March 22nd!  We are proud of the respect and resposibilty he shows at all times!
