Mission:
Bridges Community Academy exists to creatively inspire gifted students to realize their full
potential.
Vision:
Building bridges among gifted students, parents, teachers and community.
Bridges Community Academy (BCA) opened in Fall, 2004. Bridges Community Academy specializes in
serving the educational needs of students from Seneca and surrounding counties who have been identified as talented and gifted.
One of the goals of the academy is to allow students the benefit of working with honor students, education majors, professors, and local parents and community members in learning. Technology is used as a tool to deliver core curriculum at a student’s individual learning pace. BCA believes that parental involvement is critical to the success of each student, and opportunities for volunteer time is available in order to meet individual parental schedules.
Community schools have been serving Ohio students since 1997. These schools are tuition-free public schools operated by a local governing board. Community schools are free of most local and state regulations so that they may be more flexible in serving a targeted student audience. Community schools give parents a choice for educating their children without the added cost of a private school.
