Picture
Quiz Bowl teams from around the area traveled to Put-In-Bay Tuesday, September 20th for their first meet.  Brain-busting knowledge battles occurred  between BCA and Clyde, Put-In-Bay, North Central Academy, Bettsville, and Tiffin Columbian to show who had "Top Brains" bragging rights!  BCA Quiz Bowl scores were as follows:   BCA 125, PIB 55; BCA 85, Clyde 75;  BCA 95, Bettsville 70.   The Clyde match up was intensely competitive and touted as a come from behind victory. We were behind 0 - 60. We made a comeback, and the rest of that match was neck and neck.   Above is a brief slideshow of pictures taken that day on the Miller Ferry over as well as lunch at Tipper's.

Team 2 Fieldtrip

Team 2 grades  along with Mrs. Kohler and several parent volunteers took the students to Miller's Farm for a lesson on conservation.  grades 5, 6, and 7 took a trip to Miller's Conservation Farm.  The students participated in a hike where we looked at local wildlife and indigenous plants to the are.  We saw puff balls, blackberry bushes, and many kinds of trees.  We also had a chance to hear the woodpeckers.  After our hike, we took a hay ride and looked at a few of the ponds they have at the farm.  Next, the students had a session discussing the rock cycle where they made their own rocks with Starburst fruit chews.  The last session discussed recycling ad how important it is to preserve the natural resources that we have on our planet.   Below is a brief slideshow from our trip!  We enjoyed ourselves!  Thank you to all who made this trip possible!
